Aamir Khan’s character in his forthcoming film 3 Idiots is named Rancho. The film, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s novel Five Point Someone.It is a story about three IIM students played by Aamir, R Madhavan, Sharman Joshi. It is not known which of these actors will essay what particular character from the novel. Aamir and Kareena had shot a 20-day schedule in Ladakh in September.Sharman Joshi shot to fame with Rang De Basanti in 2006.This will be Kareena Kapoor’s first film opposite Aamir Khan. Though Mallika Sherawat is less reputed in Bollywood movie circles yet she has gained immense rewards and awards overseas. She is scheduled to be in LA in dinner party as recipient of United States Based Multicultural Motion Picture Association’s Diversity award and 2008 Renaissance Artist Awards at the 16th Annual MMPA’s Diversity Awards on Sunday 23rd November at Universal Studios Globe Theatre.  The Dinner party is expected to be joined by other leading international celebrities from the film and television industry.

These awards are presented for unique status to performers for the acting and character portrayal that bring about varying emotions in audience from humour to tears. Earlier these awards are given to Hollywood Actresses Salma Hayek, Halle Berry, and Monica Bellucci.  At the award ceremony other who will receive the prestigious awards is Ruby Dee-Davis.

Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! tells the story of an unscrupulous thief who rises from a middle-class Punjabi family to the world of the nouveau riche solely by dint of his talent for stealing any and every thing.

The movie stars Abhay Deol , Paresh Rawal (in three roles), Neetu Chandra and Archana Puran Singh .

From the inner city ghetto of West Delhi, Lucky (Abhay), a gawky 15-year-old lower middle-class Sikh kid, rises to become one of the most wanted master thieves of India with tens of millions worth loot, a glamorous lifestyle, cars, women, and a fan following.

As a kid, there is little at home for Lucky except an alienated family and a dysfunctional relationship with his violent, bullying father (Paresh Rawal). He is a keen observer of the world around him – from his immediate surroundings, his friends, dropouts, delinquents, petty criminals to the world he aspires to. That world is the world of the nouveau riche – private school kids, shining cars with power windows, and pretty girls from posh neighbourhoods who seem forever inaccessible – they all add to his store of knowledge. ‘Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!’ is directed by Dibakar Banerjee who made the immensely entertaining Khosla Ka Ghosla . The film is produced by Ronnie Screwvala.
The movie is slated to hit the theatres on November 28.
