Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone launched a beauty contest ‘Fiama Di Wills Beautiful Face 2008 Hunt’ in Mumbai on Friday. She also happens to be the brand ambassador of the popular beauty brand.

Model-turned-actress Deepika who became an overnight sensation after she made a successful Bollywood debut in 2007 with Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om starring opposite Shahrukh Khan said her journey so far in Bollywood has been fabulous.

“I’m here to launch ‘Fiama Di Wills Beautiful Face 2008 Hunt’. It is a wonderful experience for me. I am someone who came from Bangalore to Mumbai and the city of Mumbai gave me a wonderful opportunity to take my dreams forward and become an actor,” said Deepika.

Beautiful unknown faces will be given a platform to showcase their talent, courtesy this contest. From all the entries received only 15 girls will be short listed and taken to New Delhi for grooming. The contestants will then go on to compete in the final round of the Elite Model Look India Hunt 2008 which will be held at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week in New Delhi in October this year.

The winner of this beauty contest will get an opportunity to represent the country at the global Elite Model Look 2008 contest, which will be held in China in November this year.

Recently facing much flak regarding her appearance, Vidya Balan has now reportedly become even more cautious with her looks on-screen.

Vidya is just back from a month-long trip from New York where she had gone for a fund-raiser and is now all set to shoot for Pa with Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan .

Priyanka’s Drona dance number is creating news. The song “Oop Oop Cha” is a sultry track, being aired on television channels. But what make the song worth this news are two things.

First thing is that during the shoot of this song, the crewmembers came to know about Priyanka’s allergy towards smoke and fire. As it is visible in the song, with the way it is picturised, that the song required an ambience of smoke and fire. Priyanka, being a thorough professional, went ahead with the shoot and later developed asthmatic problems and fell sick. But the song looks fantastic.

And the other thing worth mentioning is that the whole dance troupe consisted of gays. The group belonged to an underground club in New Jersey named, Sun of the Beach. Quite an unusual thing!

‘Drona’s music got launched last weekend. Let’s see if the hysteria created by the songs helps the movie or not. Already Priyanka is in news for Fashion and these masala add-ons will create the necessary hype required for the success of the movie.
