Zee TV’s popular daily soap Banoo Mein Teri Dulhann’s Sharad Malhotra was adjudged the best actor at the Eighth Indian Telly Awards 2008.

Bidaai’s sisters Parul Chauhan and Sara Khan walked away with the best actress award.Surekha Sikri was awarded the best actor in a negative role (female) for playing the character Kalyani Devi in Balika Vadhu.

The evening also saw the felicitation of Rajeev Aamir Khandelwal for his successful debut in Bollywood.Singer Shaan was spotted with his wife at the glittering ceremony.

Smita Bansal took away the Best Actor in a Supporting role (female) award for her role in Balika Vadhu.

It was Sonali’s turn to be on his wrong side. Each time she said something it came up for some comments from Annu Malek. After pretty girl Torsha’s performance when Sonali commented on her strong body language, Annu immediately decided to elaborate on it. “That’s enough Annu about the body language, pointed Sonali, “you can concentrate on her face!” Kudos for that Sonali!

With ‘Rock On’ we saw many facets of the multi-talented director Farhan Akhtar. After making his presence felt as the actor, producer, performer and director, Farhan is to unveil yet another brand new ‘avatar’ of himself- this time as a talk show host. Farhan’s show ‘Oye! It’s Friday’ is all set to premiere next Friday (Dec 12) on NDTV Imagine.

The show will have Farhan indulge in informal talks with some of the Bollywood’s biggest celebrities. In addition, there will be some great live performances too.

The first guest for Farhan’s show will be none other than Hrithik Roshan who has been his close friend for many years now. Hrithik even starred in Farhan’s second directorial venture Lakshya. With Farhan, Hrithik speaks about how he met his wife Suzanne, his recent holiday to the islands of Bora Bora, his experience of meeting with Michael Jackson and much more.

While hosting the show, Farhan in his usual playful mood, asked Hrithik about his closeness to his Jodhaa Akbar co-star. Hrithik turned red with embarrassment but Farhan continued teasing him. Finally when he saw that his buddy was a little uncomfortable in his seat, he laughed and said, “I was talking about your co-star the elephant with whom you spent so much time together.”

As a topping to the dessert, the first episode also has the super sexy Neha Dhupia who burns the dance floor with her performance. If that was not enough, you also have Hard Kaur singing ‘Move Your Body’ and ‘Tulli’.
